Removing display hinge

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. WLAN card
    4. WWAN card (optional)
    5. display assembly
    6. display bezel
    7. display hinge cover
  3. To remove the display hinge:
    1. Remove the 3 (M2.5x3) screws that secure the display hinge to the display assembly [1].
    2. Lift the display hinge from the display assembly [2].
    3. Repeat step a and step b to remove the other display hinge.
